Gnocchi with Arrabiata Sauce

Gnocchi with Arrabbiata Sauce

(Serves 4-6)


1kg Gnocchi

1 Tin whole peeled tomatoes

1 Tbls tomato paste

1 medium onion finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic finely chopped

1/3 teaspoon Chilli Bomb Rosso UNO

Salt and Pepper to taste

Grated Parmesan

Fresh basil



  • Add a little oil to a pot and fry the onion and garlic on a medium heat as to not burn the garlic

  • Add the Chilli Bomb Rosso Uno and fry for 1-2 minutes

  • Add salt and then add in the whole peeled tomatoes, crushing them to the side to break them up (do not blend)

  • Add in the tomato paste and 1/2 cup of boiling water

  • Leave to simmer until gnocchi are prepared, stirring gently from time to time.

  • Preparing the gnocchi (only start this procedure once sauce is simmering:

  • Bring water to boil, add a pinch of salt,

  • At this point, turn off the sauce and leave the lid on it!

  • Once boiling add in the gnocchi and boil until they rise to the top

  • Drop into a colander, shake off and immediately add the gnocchi to the sauce.

  • Best served hot with a drizzle of Parmesan cheese and a crush of black pepper.
